Portrait of Denis Bozic with brush stroke over the eyes.

Denis Bozic

Hey! I’m the Denis who talked to friends.

I launched this online magazine to create a time capsule of the culture and the world around me, not through my own eyes, but through the eyes of my friends.

Magazines, particularly those that feature long-form profiles of well-known figures in a creative nonfiction format, had always been my favorite way of absorbing culture. I wanted to take this format and flip it on its head: what if I profiled the people in my life with the same level of focus, depth, and glamour? Instead of absorbing culture, could I express the culture I get to witness— the dreams, the questions, the subtleties, the imperfections—through the uniquely lived experiences of the people I knew? For three years, that’s what this project was about.

Although the magazine concluded with the Fall/Winter ‘25 issue, I still write regularly about data, music, film, fashion, and art on my website Fractal Nonfiction. Check it out!
